Frances Li is an actor, model,
and filmmaker.
Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Frances lives in New York City, where she studied acting at the William Esper Studio.
Frances’s work is strongly informed by her eclectic background in improv comedy, fine art, and fashion production. She wrote and starred in the short film A Woman Eats, which meets at the intersection of these influences and gives a glimpse into the absurd rituals of commerce. It won the October 2020 NoBudge Audience Award.
In addition to her own writing, Frances has acted in multiple short films: Tapes, which premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival, and House Call, currently in post-production.
Frances has appeared in film and print projects for Glossier, Away, Mara Hoffman, ELLE, Barney’s, Oribe, Marie Claire, Brooklinen, and Esquire and has walked the runway for Nike and Eckhaus Latta.
